E-Safety is a top priority for Old Priory Junior Academy and informs all the decisions we make as educators. Our aim is to provide children with the information and confidence to use technology in a safe and effective way. We use a Digital Literacy programme as part of our ICT curriculum which covers all areas of safe and sensible technology use from 'Sharing Information Safely Online' to 'Password Protectors'. Our filtering system is under constant review to ensure the children can use the internet safely in school.
We celebrate Safer Internet Day every February to shine a spotlight on the key points of staying safe online, run parent workshops and provide regular reminders during lessons about searching safely online.
Further information about our online safety procedures can be found in our Child Protection Policy.
Further information about staying safe online and reporting online abuse can be found by accessing the documents and links below. There are a number of guides from the National Online Safety Centre to apps and games which we hear the children talking about.
