School Day

Breakdown of a typical day


The school day begins at 8.30am, this is a soft opening so the children can enter their classroom  and organise themselves for the day ahead.  There is a morning task set for them to settle down with.  Registration is at 8.55am and the first lesson begins at 9.00am.  Breaktime is flexible to suit the needs of the learning but takes place within the morning session.  Within the breaktime, the 'Daily Mile' takes place and the children can then play and have their snack. 


8.30 am:                         School gates open and children begin to enter the classroom for morning task

8.55am:                          Morning Registration & ordering lunch

9.00 am - 12.25pm:        Morning session which includes time for a snack, the daily mile and a short break

12.25 pm–1.25 pm:          Lunch and various activities including retreat for those who need a quiet space

1.25 pm:                         Afternoon register

1.25pm-2.55pm              Afternoon session

2.55pm:                         Pack away and prepare for the end of the day 

3.00pm-3.20pm:            Assembly time.  A variety of assemblies take place at this time over the course of the week

3.25 pm:                        Parents enter the playground for end of day collection

3.30 pm                         End of School - children meet parents on the playground and go home
